Round 11 2025 Tooleybuc Manangatang

This round the Doggies hosted Tooleybuc Manangatang in the football and netball. We thank our members, players and many supporters who joined us for the home game.

There’s guys that go one year too many and then there’s Magic!

Tyntynder FNC congratulate Mick Dedini on the Magic achievement of 400 senior games.

While most of his former teammates and friends (a long time retired) are sitting on the sidelines indulging at the canteen or bar, there’s Magic dashing out of defence hitting a teammate on the chest with his left (or right, both are just as good) and amazingly playing at the same high level he has done for over 25 years of senior footy.

Our version of Scott Pendlebury, you don’t achieve the 400-game milestone without dedication, discipline, motivation, resilience, and a strong mindset to compete when the easy option would be to sit back and join your mates on the sidelines.

Since his first game until now, what a pleasure to witness the skill, endurance, courage, leadership and footy IQ on display each week from the man appropriately named ‘Magic’. Achievements have been too many to list them all, 6 Best & Fairests, Premierships and interleague representation to mention a few.

Many clubs have been part of the senior journey: Woomelang, Birchip, Irymple, Cairns Saints, Lake Boga, Tooleybuc-Manangatang, Hay and now fortunately Tyntynder.

Along with his family Bridget, Jude & Lola, how lucky we are to have them as members of the Tyntynder family and we look forward to the celebrations after the game (but don’t forget the make-up run on Sunday Mick!)

Was superb to see the Reunion of the 2015 Reserves Grand Final team. They appeared to have a great day watching the footy, sharing some yarns and partying until the wee hours of the morning…

Thank you to the organisers of the Trivia night. It was a sensational night and those who attended had a superb night. Thanks to the people behind the bar, those who organised everything and the families who came along, got involved and had fun!

Our thoughts go out to Bridget Dedini who suffered a serious injury on the weekend. In true selfless style she stayed tough and supported Mick before looking after her injury. A priceless example of the spirit of resilience in that family!
