An absolute scorcher out at Tooleybuc for our first home game of the year, with a great win rate across the day!

For the first time in a long time, our seniors, reserves & colts all got the w, which was well-celebrated in the evening at the Big Draw. Jacob Zanker bagged himself 7 goals in his first game of the year, Jules Muir had a great debut for the seniors, while Connor nutting was in fine form, with 10 goals to his name!

It was also a successful day at the netball courts, with a high proportion of wins on the board. B Grade had their first win for the year, and our juniors continued to show how much talent our youngers girls have. We can't wait to see them grow throughout the year, and into the Senior ranks. 

Big thanks to all the players who played multiple games on the day. It is a tough ask every week, but even more so impressive on a 30+ degree day.

A shout out to all of the volunteers who helped out to make our first home game happen - it’s a lot of work to bring together a home game, so we appreciate the effort. Special mention to Leanne, Tony & Lauresa for pulling some big hours in the lead up to Saturday; Jords & Jodie and their canteen crew for a massive effort in feeding and hydrating everyone during the day; Rene & Jess and their kitchen helpers for sorting out a great feed on Saturday night; Tony & Gracey and their spit team for providing a delicious roast; Emma & Steph for manning the bar last night; Ry, Jords and all of the announcers who helped out with the Big Draw. Volunteers are the lifeblood of our club and we appreciate everything you all do!

Lastly, congratulations to Spike Lambert, who was the lucky winner of the $4,000 Big Draw prize, and Sue Domaille, who came in second to take home $800. Thanks to everyone who sold tickets for the event and making it a huge success - notably, a massive effort from Rene Templeton, who sold 24 tickets, we really appreciate the effort!
