Cohuna Kangas – Preseason Update 2025 

What a cracking return to Footy & Netball at Cohuna! Perfect conditions for spectators – a little warm for the players – but a great day all round. Big thanks to all the volunteers who helped make our first home game a success!

Football

It was a clean sweep across all grades!

• Seniors: An absolute clinic – 180 to 2 over Balranald! 10 individual goal scorers, including 7 from Corbin Anderson. Chris Anderson dominated the ruck, and the boys looked sharp in their first hit-out together.
• Reserves: Another huge win. Brady Walerys led the way, and Clayton Anderson was unstoppable up forward with 10 goals!
• Colts: Big win with multiple contributors. Lachie English bagged 5, while Broden Wishart and Cooper Carmichael added a few each. Noah Hore starred in the midfield.
• U15s & U12s: Both teams got the job done for a clean Kangas footy sweep – how good!

Netball

• A Grade: Narrow 2-goal loss after leading most of the match. The girls will be hungry to bounce back.
• B Grade: Dominant performance with double the opposition’s score – elite start!
• B Res: Fought hard for a draw – 2 points better than none!
• U17s & U15s: Both had big wins with nearly identical scorelines – exciting signs for the future!
• 15s Echuca: Promoted due to strong form, now facing tougher competition – keep pushing girls!
• U13s: Narrow loss but great effort all round.
• U13s Res: Played brilliantly and took the win – little superstars!
