Seniors
Cohuna 6.5 (41) def by Mallee Eagles 15.11 (101)
The Kangas tried hard all day but were outclassed by a sharp Eagles outfit. Thomas Toma was lively up forward with three goals, while Chris Anderson, William Lee, Jarrod Findlay, Ricky Monti and Corbin Anderson all put in strong performances.

A Reserve Netball

What a nail-biter! The A Res girls dug deep to hold on by two goals in a thrilling finish. Anthea Toma and Ash Gallagher were superb in keeping the Kangas alive in finals.

A hard-fought game that slipped away late, with B Grade just falling short. Jess Searle and Catrina Robinson were standouts in a gallant effort.

Colts Football
Cohuna 11.11 (77) def Koondrook/Barham 4.15 (39)
The Colts dominated the contest, running away to a convincing win. Lachlan English was on fire with five goals, while Liam Edge, Hudson Fountain and Ryder Glass were all influential around the ground.

Our Under 15s fought bravely but were edged out by five goals in a high-quality elimination clash. Bella Douglass and Millah Crichton were brilliant across the court.

💜 Thursday Night Tea
We’re back this Thursday at the clubrooms with a feast not to be missed 👉 Order here.
Picture 24 hours of slow-smoked meat perfection over mallee root charcoal and ironbark, served with coleslaw and melted cheese. Top it off with the tang of Carolina vinegar sauce for the brave, or the smoky comfort of house BBQ sauce. Kids are sorted with nuggets and crispy hot chips. This isn’t just dinner – it’s an experience.

💜 Finals Continue
This weekend we head to Barham on Saturday and Tooleybuc on Sunday. The purple army needs to be loud, proud and in full voice – calling all our Kangas faithful to get around our teams chasing September glory.

💜 Vote Count & Presentation Day – Sunday 21 September
Join us at the clubrooms as Juniors kick off from 10:30am, with Seniors to follow. Lunch is BBQ, salads and dessert – juniors please bring a salad, seniors a dessert. It’s a huge day to celebrate the season together.

As we head deeper into finals, a reminder that our players, coaches and umpires deserve respect. Cheer loud, cheer proud – but keep it positive. Abuse or excessive noise that impacts the game won’t be tolerated. Let’s show the true Kangas spirit: loud in support, respectful in behaviour, united for our teams.

The finals are about pride, passion and community – let’s make sure we show it in purple.
