Under 18’s Football

How long have you been coaching and how did you get started?

On and off for 20 years.

What do you love most about coaching?

I enjoy watching the kids enjoy their footy and the development of the juniors

What’s your coaching philosophy in a sentence or two?

Enjoy the game and respect your teammates, opposition and the umpires. You only get out of footy what you are willing to put into it.

What’s one goal you have for your team this season?

To ensure all the players improve and collectively we become a close unit +that supports every player.

What’s your proudest coaching moment so far?

Coaching the Under 14’s Premiership a few years ago that my son played in.

Who inspires you as a coach and why?

Tom Hafey was a great coach that engaged and inspired his players that made you hand off his every word.

What’s one fun fact about you that people might not know?

I played in 4 losing GF’s and kicked a higher tally than Ultima in the 1993 Grand Final.

What do you enjoy doing outside of coaching?

Playing Tennis, and having fun with my son and my mates.

If your team could describe you in three words, what would they be?

Never shuts up!
