Congratulations to our 16’s and B Grade Netball teams for making it to the Grand Final. A FANTASTIC ACHIEVEMENT! Our Tiger Army will be cheering you on. 

As the season draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our coaches for their hard work, knowledge and dedication to the development of our players. We have had a very successful season with many having the opportunity to play finals.

To the players, we look forward to seeing you back for the 2024 season. Enjoy the well earned break!

Special mention to our long list of volunteers and families who help get the teams on the court each week. Many hands make light work, and we are very lucky to have such a support network. 

To our umpires, new and old we thank you for donning the whites each week. Not always an easy task but one that is essential to play our game.

Congratulation to our Colts boys who finished on top of the ladder at seasons end and found their way through to the Grand Final with a week’s rest.

Each and every player that has taken the field for the Colts this year has done our club proud and played footy the way we like to play it. Hard but fair.

The two coaches that have given their time to assist the boys to reach the heights they have so far so not be missed here either, so to Mac and Doey well done.

Lastly, a big congratulation to Tahj Bolton for taking out the Colts League B & F on Monday night.

Go get it boys and do your club, yourselves and your parents proud.

From the President

As the season come to a close, we reflect on our year at Tiger Land.

This year we saw a lot of success on field throughout the season and as much success off the field. Finally seeing a full year without the COVID cloud and back to a somewhat normal season.

All our programs making it through the year with great success we had 11 of our 13 teams that were eligible to play finals make it through. This including our Football, Netball and Women’s Programs.

Of these 11 teams we have 5 that have made it through to Grand Finals. Two of these have already been played with our Women’s Team and Youth Girls unfortunately losing their Grand Finals, but a great year for both of those teams and we are extremely proud.

This weekend we see our U16 Netball, B Grade Netball and Colts Football all playing off for a Premiership. Good luck to all three teams, we know that you will do us proud.

Woorinen would like to firstly thank all the footballers, netballers and girls who represented the club this year. Your dedication to our club is greatly appreciated and you wore the tiger colours with great pride.

All our volunteers, we can’t thank you enough for the tireless work you contribute. Without you the club really doesn’t exist. If it’s a small amount of work, you do or a large amount we value all input.

The Tiger Army of supporters and members, thank you for turning up each week and we hope that you were entertained throughout the year. Thank you for riding every bump with us.

To our sponsors we thank you for your generous contribution to our club in keeping us financial. This generosity especially in the current times is absolutely amazing and really does go a long way in keeping club going.

To all our supporters, members, players and sponsors, we are having an after Grand Final function tonight back at the club to present our Grand Final Teams. Hopefully introduce some new silverware to our cabinets and celebrate the year. There will be a meal and entertainment so please make your way out to the club.

Again, good luck to all our teams playing in Grand Finals and good luck to all other teams that we aren’t up against today.
