KOONDROOK BARHAM FOOTBALL NETBALL CLUB

On a better day weather wise the Raiders army ventured to play Swan Hill which for the Seniors was what was virtually an eight point game, a bit of a hiccup occurred before half time when we lost our ruckman Readie to a bruised rib injury, however the boys got their act together in the second half and kicked 11 goals to two to score a very good win. That win has escalated them up to 6^th spot on the ladder so all we have to do now is to just keep winning to secure a finals spot!. The Ressy’s and Colts also scored excellent wins to further cement their places in the top five but unfortunately our young Under 15’s got rolled which puts them in the danger zone as far as finals go! The netballers had a mixed bag again with A Grade securing another win to just about secure another finals campaign. Notice in the report from our game against Moulamein that a fair bit was mentioned that they had a few players out, nothing about who we were missing, none other than one of the leading goalkickers in the league in Cam Arnold, and also one of the leading ruckman in the league in Jacob Barrington, maybe just an oversight!. Awards in the Seniors went to Clayton McCartney (Counterpoint Man of the Day), Tom German (Fishing Comp Committee), Jacob Barrington (Raiders Towel), and Jack Shannon (Intersport), others to play well were our milestone man in Kye Attwell in his 100^th game, well done Kye, Jack Thomas and Nathan O’Toole but again it was a great team effort. The Ressy’s continued on their winning way, they still remain in 3^rd place, but they do have to keep winning to secure that double chance!. Awards went to Todd Frankling (Wes Hare Spraying Services Scooby of the Day), Mitch Koski (Matsey’s Hotel), Gaz Lolicato (Barham Hotel)  Louis Cain (Wakool Café’). The Colts had a very good win against the top side. Awards went to Lachy Maher (May Family Socks), Jye Hamilton (Happy Elephant voucher), Alex Chisholm (Don Taylor Pen), Max Snowdon (Wilma Bott Canteen voucher), Nate Pretty (Fishing Comp voucher, and Ryder Laursen (Intersport), great win boys!.

This week we travel again but it’s not far, we go to our near neighbours in Murrabit to tackle them, its new ground for us, even though they are finding it a tad hard in the CMFL that is no reason to take the game lightly. We need to treat it as a danger game as we should do with all our opponents, percentage is vital at this time of the year!.
