Well that’s it, the end of the home and away games for season 2026 and to finish it off with a very good win was a bonus. It was a pretty good day for football and netball with a big crowd in attendance. Wins in the Ressy’s and Seniors were good but dunno what happened to the Colts, thought they would have got the money, but it was not to be!. So we will be represented by the Seniors, Reserves, Colts and Under 15’s in the footy finals which is a magnificent effort by our club, A Grade who will be defending their title is the only netball team we got in!. Think the Reserve’s and Colts both play on the Saturday as well as the netballers, however Reserves will play on Tyntynder’s ground and the Colts will play on the Swan Hill ground. On the Sunday Seniors and Under 15’s will play on the Tyntynder ground in the Elim. Final. Awards in the Seniors went to Harry Bremner (Counterpoint Man of the Day), Tom German (Fishing Comp voucher), Kye Attwell (Raiders Towel), and Cam Anderson (Intersport). Others to play well were Ryan Bassett and Nathan O’Toole. The Ressy’s had a hard fought win to seal their double chance, awards went to Kynan Laursen (Wes Hare Spraying Services “Scooby of the Day”), Jordan Bassett, (Matesy’s Hotel), Marc O’Neill (Barham Hotel), and Gary Lolicato (Wakool Café), others to shine were Matt Dean and Corey Barrington. The Colts suffered a surprising loss but they kept their finals spot to turn that around this weekend!. Awards went to Riley Zielicki (May Family Socks), Max Snowdon (Happy Elephant voucher), Riley Davis (Don Taylor Pen), Nate Pretty (Wilma Bott Canteen voucher), Ethan Patten (Fishing Comp., Tennyson O’Neill (Intersport), actually the Colts have had an outstanding year and all players have stood up when required which augers well for our future!. So good luck to all our teams this week playing finals.
